This sweet family photography session was one of the first I did after shelter-in-place order was released. We met twice, a couple weeks apart. The second meet-up was at the beautiful Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA. We wanted to capture their newest addition’s newborn features as quickly as possible… and also give everyone else time to get those long-awaited haircut appointments that were missed due to shelter-in-place orders.
For the first part of this sweet family’s session, we got cozy in the Suarez’s backyard for some cozy and comfortable captures. We began with baby, as he had just been fed and was feeling content. We photographed him wrapped in the most adorable, special blanket that his parents brought out with them. It was the perfect touch.
We focused on this amazing mama next. The connection between her and her littles was something that pretty much documented itself! There were so many precious moments here to capture.
After a while, dad jumped in and we got some portraits of everyone together. Each moment of this family just being their sweet and silly selves provided endless opportunities to capture the love and admiration they all have for one another.
For the second part of our session, we met at Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA. We walked back into the park and found an isolated picnic area to take portraits of the whole family. Dad got some special moments together with the little ones here too.
We had some fun walking toward the taller trees, allowing big brother to explore. His sweet curiosity led everyone into the perfect photographic moments. We ended in a small grove, surrounded by trees. Here, we captured the family simply being their lovely, cuddly selves.
