The Easterwood Family: easily the cuddliest and silliest bunch that I’ve had the pleasure to document. This was our second session this year, their first was a Fresh 48 when their youngest son was born. I was so excited to shoot them again and the best part about our session, other than making their two littlest ones giggle, was our location- Urban Ore. There’s nothing better than shooting a Berkeley Family Photography Session than in an iconic location.
Urban Ore in Berkeley is a thrift finder’s refuge. Rows of doors, corners made out of sheet metal and decorated with rugs, books galore, and rows of bathtubs and toilets decorate the outdoor space. Honestly, Urban Ore is a dream of a location and I was so happy to run around with them and document each space. One of the coolest spaces we found was a nook filled with toilet backs and seats. It was the perfect space to grab individual and group shots of the family.
Did I mention the bathtubs? Rows upon rows of bathtubs and when I asked Mom to jump in one, she didn’t hesitate at all. I’m so happy I got to document the Easterwood Family for the second time this year! Thank you for the invite!
This session was an opportunity of a lifetime. How often are you asked to document a family in such an amazing place? If you’d like to see more Berkeley Family Photography sessions, check out the Xilo Blog!
