Oakland Family Photography Montclair Railroad Trail

 

I hosted my Mini Sessions on the Montclair Railroad trail in Oakland, CA. It is the perfect place for Oakland Family Photography Sessions as it has lush greens and beautiful sunlight that illuminates the trees. The long curvy path makes way for multiple places to sit, stand, or play with the ones you love. It’s never too busy on the trail, although you might run into some pretty friendly dogs and their owners. In this session, the PG Family met me at the top of the bridge and we walked our way backward toward the wooden bridge to capture their connection. From there, we walked back toward the overpass stopping at various locations according to the sun.

My work is largely focused on capturing connection, emotion, and the authenticity of the moment. I direct my subjects towards various locations depending on the light and we play games to bring out the individuality of each subject. The PG Family did not disappoint, their connection to each other was easy to see from the moment they arrived. I loved capturing them in this setting and their two little ones are absolutely adorable! Thank you for inviting me to document you!
